As the saying goes – being well prepared is the name of the game in any undertaking. So we, the Vlieseline team, put our heads together and discussed which products should be presented and the creations that should be made with them. The result was 35 scheduled videos with a wide variety of uses: from items of clothing to things for children and home decoration. The mixture of scenes that were really filmed and computer animations for sewing, ironing and rinsing was new in the videos.
Our ambitious plan provided for 3.5 video days. We prepared story boards so that we could stick to the time frame – schedules for each video defining beforehand every single step, all the essential relevant camera settings and the props.
We erected the setting in a studio on the day before: bright, friendly colours with splashes of yellow – the Vlieseline colour. Light and camera setting were discussed, the procedures were gone through again, and finally we were able to get going. Andrea handed the intermediate pieces to our model Nadine. Everything was filmed and sometimes repeated when changes needed to be made. As soon as we had finished filming the video, the individual scenes were already being put into the right sequence on the computer behind the scenes. This saves on post-production time! And when the final scenes had been shot, everyone was exhausted and at the same time full of anticipation regarding the new videos.
We believe the result is worth seeing! Our sincere thanks go to the team, which helped Vlieseline get its new videos with a great deal of humour, perseverance and professionalism.
