Both are water-soluble stabilizers. Solufix is additionally self-adhesive, which prevents motifs from slipping during embroidery. It allows for much more precise and cleaner work compared to spray adhesive. It is also well-suited for new creative techniques, such as the Crazy Technique.
Both are used for embroidery. Fusible embroidery stabilizer is temporarily adhesive when ironed on and can be torn away without leaving residues. It is particularly suitable for embroidering on elastic fabrics. It stabilizes the fabric and enables perfect embroidery without distortion.
Once fused to the outer fabric, the interlining becomes very stable yet remains flexible. It is suitable when you want to give your bag a softer feel.
We recommend fusing the corresponding interlinings with a damp cloth. This gives you a more stable and even result than using steam.
With Quilter’s Grid, the motifs are arranged using square fabric pieces. It also has an adhesive coating to fix the fabric pieces in place. Afterwards, the edges can be sewn precisely without fraying and without the motifs shifting. With Rasterquick Square, fabric strips are used instead, and it does not have an adhesive coating.

This means using the iron (without steam) to fuse the interlining (with the fabricunderneath), moving it slowly in circular motions with some pressure, while keeping to the recommended pressing time.
We recommend using the batting together with the lining and quilting it with the lining – either with parallel stitching or free-motion.
Please check if it is a genuine Vlieseline product. Our processing recommendations guarantee the desired adhesion. Therefore, check the instructions again. With colored fabrics, pre-steaming/washing/ironing can already help.
While the iron is still hot, rub the soiled area over a scrap piece of fabric until the adhesive loosens from the iron and sticks to the fabric. If necessary, follow up with Vlieseline Iron Cleaner.
