Decorative Clam Decor
Easy to make favour, Easter décor, Christmas Tree decoration.
Step 1
Cut out S 320, 272 Thermolam and your lining material and outer fabric in the size you want.
Step 2
Lay S 320 onto the wrong side of the outer fabric and fuse with an iron (press on firmly, step by step, using a damp cloth, 15 seconds, 2-3 dots).
Step 3
Draw the frame and the curves on the fused S 320 to help you when you sew the cover.
Step 4
Lay the lining material onto the 272 Thermolam with the right side up, and then cover it with the outer fabric you fused, with the right side down.
Step 5
Use a machine to sew around the curves, starting where the side seam begins to where the side seam on the opposite side begins.
Step 6
Cut into the seam allowances to just before the seam. Cut at an angle to the starting points.
Step 7
Cut triangles out of the seam allowances and corners in the curves.
Step 8
Cut approx. 0.5 cm off the seam allowance and turn the work inside out.
Step 9
Make the back piece in the same way, but also sew the fastening flap into the seam, between the outer fabric and the lining material.
Step 10
Turn the front and back part inside out.
Step 11
Lay the back and front parts of the outer fabric on top of one another with the right sides facing.
Step 12
Sew the two outer fabric parts together as indicated on the picture.
Step 13
Sew the lining parts together in the same way and leave an opening to turn the cover inside out.
Step 14
Turn the mobile phone cover inside out through the opening and close it with a few stitches by hand. Then sew on the button for the fastening flap.
